The Senior Designer is responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of Interior Design projects. You are  passionate about your work, highly creative and work hard to be a role model for the design team. The Senior Designer is dedicated, committed to his/her craft and believes in mentoring and coaching others. Consistently showcasing a positive attitude and a natural problem solver. Your approach to design is innovative and inspiring.

For this role, we’re looking for a minimum of 7 years’ experience, ideally in hospitality, residential (condominium), and/ or retail Interior Design. You have solid experience managing multiple complex projects at one time, leading project teams and mentoring others.

As a Senior Designer, you will work directly with our client from initial meetings to understand client needs to presenting design concepts and a creative vision and throughout the development process. You will ensure that the concept as approved by the client has been translated into the working drawings and design integrity is upheld. As well as that all drawings meet building code and best practices for construction.

You will also be responsible to ensure project budget is on track, taking corrective measures in scope, timing as needed

As a Senior Interior Designer you will also oversee the tendering process and drawing distribution for contractors, review contract documentation and field questions from contractors, consultants and client

This position is best suited for an experienced designer demonstrating strong technical skills and strong communication and leadership skills. An ability to mentor and empower others is key to success in this role.
