Design Studio Project Manager (Richmond Hill)

Our firm is expanding and currently accepting applications for an Operations Manager with a great attitude and passion for the design industry – who can be a great asset at our company and willing to grow with us. We are an award winning Design Studio specializing in creating hospitality projects. We are looking for a dependable and dedicated Operations Manager who can step in and take a leading role managing both company operations and personnel for our next stage of proven growth.

We are looking for a dynamic personality with strong leadership and mentoring skills who will easily empower and engage our team members. This is someone that will not need much direction from the principals and can manage the Studio’s day-to-day flow. They will be reviewing employee performance, general HR responsibilities (i.e. hiring new staff, support of existing staff, overseeing training) and managing the daily technical operations for our organization. Sales and project deadline forecasting are part of their everyday responsibilities as well as project timeline planning to ensure staff members have appropriate time for project success all the while being focused on cost efficiency awareness.

Candidates will need to have an education in Business or a related area as well as 8-10 years experience in a similar role. They must be familiar with various interior design concepts and practices, be a natural problem solver and critical thinker, and possess a strong capacity for attention to details. Prior design studio managerial experience or project management experience is preferred. They will need to be highly organised, with strong planning skills required as well as general understanding of the design & hospitality industry, design language,  and construction project management.

The Operations Manager will receive a generous compensation package including 3 week vacation and a potential performance bonus at the end of the year. They will operate out of our lovely Richmond Hill office and will highly enjoy the work culture and environment. Occasional travel is another perk as they will be assisting in client meetings and employee training facilitation.

If you are energetic, resourceful, a strong leader, and value a collaborative team mentality within a company – you are who we are looking for! Apply with us for this position by sending your resume to greatjobs@iklein.com.
