Architectural Project Manager – High Rise Residential (Toronto)

We have an amazing opportunity for a highly-skilled architectural Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years experience that significantly focuses on high-rise condominium suites and town-homes or multi-unit residential projects. This project manager will be responsible to track and document client projects from initial planning, execution of work through delivery to the client. Our ideal candidate will not only be customer-focused but fast-paced and detail oriented. Team collaboration is highly encouraged so our project manager must be enthusiastic about collaboration and encourage people at all levels in working alongside senior and partners, just as is the mentality of the firm.

As the main client contact, our Project Manager will be responsible for review and management of fee structure, project schedules, technical and code requirements, client and team expectations. This includes preparing a comprehensive work plan that clearly outlines and defines in sufficient detail the project scope, staff allocation and required resources to successfully meet the written project criteria.

You will perform such related tasks as required, to ensure the effective, efficient and expedient management of projects – including reviewing drawings against project deliverables, ensuring project scope is maintained,  attending client/consultant coordination meetings, and tracking all pertinent project files to ensure standards are fully addressed and met.

The Project Manager will lead BIM planning and coordination meetings and ensure adherence to the BIM execution plan, BIM project work flow criteria, and BIM content standards.

This position is best suited for a proactive individual who likes to take initiative. The Project Manager is expected to regularly and proactively identify innovative ways to improve the project management process, procedures and practices. As a team mentor and leader the Project Manager will coach project team members on both the elements and necessity of good project management principles and the critical importance of ensuring standards regarding project execution and delivery are implemented.
