Job Description

If you’re the person everyone relies on for producing high quality drawing packages, solving technical challenges, and keeping projects moving, this is an opportunity to grow into a leadership role while working on some of Toronto’s most exciting residential developments.

Our client is an established real estate developer with a growing in house Interior Design team delivering mid-rise and high-rise residential projects across the GTA. They are looking for a technically strong Project Manager to take ownership of the production and coordination side of projects.

Initially, you’ll be the primary person responsible for producing construction documentation while working closely with the Director of Interior Design, Design Associate, and construction team. As the team continues to grow, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities into a broader Project Management and leadership role.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce interior design working drawings in Revit for residential mid-rise and high-rise projects.
  • Prepare permit, tender, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate consultants and integrate consultant information into drawing packages.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and coordinate technical issues throughout construction.
  • Conduct site visits, review site conditions, and work closely with the construction team to resolve design and construction related issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Interior Design, Design Associate, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help maintain drawing quality, technical accuracy, project schedules, and documentation standards.
  • Identify technical challenges early and develop practical, well-coordinated solutions.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the in-house Interior Design team as it expands.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7-10 years of Interior Design experience, with a strong focus on residential mid-rise and/or high-rise projects.
  • Extensive experience producing construction documentation in Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of permit, tender, and construction drawing packages.
  • Experience coordinating consultants throughout the documentation process.
  • Construction administration experience, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, site visits, and consultant coordination.
  • Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code and local residential construction practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Someone who enjoys taking ownership, works independently, and collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • An interest in growing into a broader Project Management and leadership role over time.

Why This Opportunity?

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who is ready for the next step in their career.

You’ll work directly with the Director of Interior Design, gain exposure to the full development process, and play a key role in delivering residential projects from design through construction. As the in-house team continues to grow, you’ll have the opportunity to take on greater project leadership responsibilities and help shape the future of the department.

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine strong technical expertise with a clear path toward Project Management and leadership, we’d love to hear from you.
