Job Description

We are seeking Intermediate and Senior Interior Designers with strong Workplace design experience to join a growing and collaborative studio.

This is an opportunity for creative, technically strong designers who enjoy translating client goals into thoughtful, functional, and inspiring environments. Depending on your level of experience, you will either take ownership of key project components or lead projects and client relationships from concept through completion.

You will work closely with Principals, clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver exceptional workplace environments while contributing to the continued growth and success of the studio.

Whether you’re an Intermediate Designer ready to step into more responsibility or a Senior Designer looking to lead major projects and mentor others, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll

  • Manage the interior design aspects of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
  • Lead or contribute to design thinking, space planning, and project execution across Workplace and Retail projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Principals, clients, and external consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Prepare and oversee presentations, drawing packages, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct client programming, workplace strategy sessions, and needs analysis.
  • Develop FF&E selections, finish palettes, and detailed specifications.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project workshops.
  • Support construction administration activities and site reviews as required.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, client presentations, and proposal efforts, depending on experience level.
  • Travel to project sites as required.

What You Bring

  • Intermediate Designers: 5-8 years of interior design experience.
  • Senior Designers: 8+ years of interior design experience.
  • Strong Workplace project experience is required.
  • Experience in Retail, Hospitality, or other commercial sectors is considered an asset.
  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Professional designations such as NCIDQ, LEED, or WELL are considered assets.
  • Strong understanding of building construction, detailing, building codes, and accessibility requirements.
  • Experience working through all phases of a project from concept design to construction completion.
  • Proficiency in Revit (preferred), AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong visual communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience coordinating with mechanical, electrical, structural, and other consultants.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and materials.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive, collaborative, and professional approach.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel when required.
