Job Description

This position sits within a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering environment delivering federally funded and institutional building projects. The work includes secure, highly regulated facilities that require strong governance, coordination, and leadership across design and delivery teams.

You’ll be Ottawa-based, with a highly flexible work model. Office attendance is required only as needed for project coordination and client meetings.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead public-sector building projects from planning through delivery. You’ll own scope, schedule, financial performance, quality control, and client relationships — while guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex approval and compliance processes.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how government projects actually get built.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead project scope, schedules, deliverables, and budgets across all phases
  • Build and manage detailed work plans across architectural and engineering disciplines
  • Allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust staffing as project needs evolve
  • Drive QA/QC standards for contract documents and construction deliverables
  • Manage scope changes and contractual obligations while protecting project performance
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for public-sector clients and stakeholders
  • Track project financial performance and forecast revenue

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of project management experience in architecture or engineering environments
  • Strong background delivering public-sector or federally funded projects
  • Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven project environments
  • Bilingual fluency in English and French (required)
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance (required)
  • Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Confident leadership and client-facing communication skills
  • Solid project financial management and forecasting experience
  • Professional registration is an asset
