Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced architectural professional who enjoys taking ownership of their work, cares deeply about the quality of their drawings, and brings real enthusiasm to the technical side of architecture.

You will work closely with a small, collaborative team on meaningful healthcare, long-term care, educational, and community-focused projects. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, coordinating details, and helping move projects forward with care and precision.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the production and coordination of construction documents from Design Development through Tender and Construction.
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and specialty consultants.
  • Take ownership of drawing packages and ensure documentation is complete, coordinated, accurate, and buildable.
  • Review drawings for QA/QC, technical accuracy, code compliance, constructability, and consistency.
  • Develop strong construction details, building envelope solutions, and architectural assemblies.
  • Support project schedules, internal coordination, and project milestones.
  • Participate in consultant meetings and help resolve technical design issues.
  • Mentor junior team members and support strong Revit/BIM standards.
  • Assist with contract administration, including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site instructions, and site visits.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of architectural experience, ideally with Canadian project experience.
  • Strong background in healthcare, long-term care, education, institutional, or community-based projects.
  • Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent technical documentation and detailing skills.
  • Strong understanding of OBC, accessibility standards, and construction practices.
  • Proven ability to coordinate consultants and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong QA/QC mindset with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment and take initiative without waiting to be directed at every step.
  • A positive, engaged attitude and genuine enthusiasm for architecture and project delivery.
  • Advanced Revit skills are required.

Why Join Us?

You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects that have a meaningful impact on communities, collaborating with a close-knit team that values technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in projects, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and wants to contribute to the success of both the project and the team.

If you are a technically strong Job Captain who enjoys healthcare and educational projects, likes working closely with a small team, and takes real ownership of your work, we’d love to hear from you.
