Our client is seeking an Interior Design Manager to lead the design vision and execution of a growing portfolio of purpose-built rental communities across the GTA. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the interior design strategy for some of the most design-forward residential developments in Canada, shaping everything from luxury suites and amenity spaces to lobbies, leasing environments, and resident experience touchpoints.

Reporting directly to the senior design leadership team, you will play a key role in defining the look, feel, and functionality of projects from early concept through construction and occupancy.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the interior design development of residential suites, amenity spaces, lobbies, leasing centres, and common areas across multiple projects.
• Create and present design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, FF&E packages, and design presentations.
• Establish and maintain design standards while ensuring each project has its own unique identity.
• Collaborate closely with internal development, technical design, construction, leasing, marketing, and operations teams.
• Manage interior design deliverables through all project phases, from schematic design through construction completion.
• Lead the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, artwork, and accessories.
• Review design documentation, shop drawings, mock-ups, finish samples, and material submissions to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Conduct site visits throughout construction and assist in resolving design-related issues.
• Support procurement activities and vendor coordination.
• Contribute to long-term design strategy and innovation initiatives that enhance the resident experience and strengthen the portfolio’s market position.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive interior design experience.
• Strong experience working on multifamily residential, hospitality, mixed-use, luxury residential, or similar large-scale projects.
• Proven ability to take projects from concept development through construction and occupancy.
• Exceptional design sensibility supported by a strong portfolio showcasing both creative vision and technical execution.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, detailing, Ontario Building Code requirements, and accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $120K – $130K
