Your Role
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will:
- Develop Innovative Designs: Utilize BIM and advanced software to create detailed plans, spatial concepts, and 3D models that balance aesthetics and functionality.
- Lead Project Coordination: Ensure all project deliverables are met with precision by leading coordination efforts with external stakeholders, reviewing and refining documents for clarity and alignment.
- Oversee Contract Administration: Play a key role in revising drawings, attending site meetings, and ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected and compliant with project specifications.
- Engage Stakeholders: Represent the design team in meetings, fostering effective communication and collaboration with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
- Maintain Quality Assurance: Stay ahead of industry standards by keeping up-to-date with building codes, by-laws, and regulations, ensuring all design decisions meet the latest requirements.
- Manage Project Risks: Proactively identify and communicate project risks, addressing potential issues early in line with our risk management process.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer with a degree or diploma in Interior Design and 8+ years of experience in the field. Experience leading multi unit residential, commercial or healthcare projects is required.
You should either be NCIDQ certified or actively working towards certification, with ARIDO membership being a plus.
Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential, along with a solid understanding of current design trends and applicable building codes.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are a must, as well as a willingness to embrace our hybrid work model, balancing in-studio collaboration with remote flexibility.
