Job Description

We’re looking for a relationship-driven sales professional who understands the architecture, interior design and commercial workplace industry and is ready to build a long-term career with an established team.

This is a hands-on role combining account management and sales. You’ll manage existing client relationships while actively developing new business, working with architects, designers, corporate clients and other industry partners to identify opportunities and provide the right mix of architectural products and professional services.

The right person will bring a strong understanding of the architecture and design industry, excellent people skills and a natural ability to build relationships. We’re looking for someone personable, professional and motivated who is eager to learn the business, take ownership of the role and build a long-term career with the company.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients
  • Develop new business through networking, outreach, referrals and industry relationships
  • Meet with clients to understand upcoming projects, requirements and opportunities
  • Present and sell architectural products and professional services
  • Maintain regular contact with architects, designers, corporate clients and industry partners
  • Manage day-to-day client and order information, ensuring details are communicated and followed through
  • Prepare and follow up on proposals, quotes and opportunities
  • Work closely with the internal design, operations and project teams to ensure clients receive excellent service
  • Maintain accurate client and sales information within NetSuite
  • Build a strong pipeline of repeat and new business

This is not a desk-based sales position. While the role is based out of the Oakville office, much of your time will be spent meeting clients, visiting projects, developing relationships and making calls throughout the GTA.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within the architecture, commercial interiors, workplace, furniture, construction products or related design industry
  • A good understanding of architectural and interior design projects and how the industry works
  • Previous experience in business development, account management or sales
  • Comfortable developing new business as well as managing and growing existing accounts
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Professional, approachable and genuinely good with people
  • Organized and able to manage multiple clients, projects and opportunities at once
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite or another CRM/ERP platform is an asset
  • Knowledge of architectural wall systems is a strong asset

Why This Role?

This is a great opportunity for someone who knows the architecture and design industry but wants to move further into the relationship and commercial side of the business.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with established clients while continuing to build your own network and develop new business. With both architectural products and professional services to offer, you’ll be able to build long-term client relationships and become a trusted resource throughout the project process.

If you enjoy the architecture and design world, like being out meeting people more than sitting behind a desk, and want a role where the relationships you build directly impact your success and earning potential, we’d like to hear from you.

$80,000–$85,000 base salary + Commissions ($150K annual earning potential)
