Job Description

As a Senior Interior Designer within this small (and growing!) firm, you will play a crucial role in all stages of interior design development, contributing to project deliverables from start to finish, including preparing design concepts, renderings, working drawing packages, and project documentation.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead or support projects from the initial design brief to construction documentation. Your responsibilities will include conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. You will evaluate, determine, and design to meet the goals and requirements of each project, following all aspects of the design process. Site visits will be part of your routine as needed. Additionally, building positive relationships and maintaining fluid communication with all engaged parties will be crucial.

You will create inspiring and feasible presentation packages and develop 2-D drawings, millwork, and elevations using AutoCAD, as well as 3-D models using SketchUp, Revit, and 3ds Max. Producing renderings and construction documents for the execution of designs, developing furniture, fixtures, and equipment selections and specifications and layouts, and preparing design brand submissions will be among your key tasks.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field is required.
  • You should have 5+ years of experience ideally working on hospitality (branded hotel) projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, and familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office suite is essential. Experience with Revit, 3ds Max, and 3D modeling is considered a bonus.
  • You should have exceptional attention to detail and a good understanding of construction detailing in general.
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Codes and ADA requirements is required.
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with multiple brands, consultants, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
  • A solid understanding of project sequencing is necessary.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects through to construction and completion, including project management experience, is highly desirable.
  • You should have the ability to self-motivate, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent spoken and written English skills are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is necessary.

We provide a dynamic and fast-paced environment within unique and exciting sectors.
