You’ve built your career on complex institutional projects—now you’re ready to take on work with a visible, lasting impact.
We’re seeking a Senior Architect to join our Public Buildings studio, a practice known for delivering projects of civic, cultural, and national importance. From embassies and government campuses to museums and cultural landmarks, this is where design excellence meets public service.
This role gives you the autonomy to choose how you work—whether that’s in the office, from home, or remotely—while remaining fully engaged with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team through advanced design platforms and shared ownership.
The Role
As a Senior Architect, you will apply your technical expertise and leadership to advance projects from concept to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the development of technical designs and construction documents that reflect both design vision and constructability.
Ensuring all project deliverables align with quality standards, budgets, and schedules.
Overseeing programming, code analysis, building systems research, and technical detailing.
Conducting site reviews, managing surveys, and coordinating responses to permitting authorities.
Serving as a trusted partner to contractors, consultants, and public stakeholders to resolve challenges effectively.
What You Bring
15+ years of architectural experience with a strong portfolio of institutional or public building projects.
Current licensure with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).
A proven ability to technically lead projects through all phases, from design to execution.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related architectural design software.
Deep knowledge of detailing, construction technologies, codes, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
Eligibility for, or possession of, Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.
Why This Role Matters
Meaningful work: Contribute to projects that represent communities, governments, and cultural institutions.
Professional Autonomy: The flexibility to work where you perform best, office, home, or remote.
Collaborative Environment: Join a global, employee-owned practice of architects and engineers with a strong legacy in civic design.
Visible Impact: Lead high-profile projects that will define public spaces for generations.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished architect to bring their expertise to projects of national importance and to work in an environment that values both design excellence and professional independence.
