a Project Manager – Construction Administration, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects. You will be responsible for providing construction administration functions, both on-site and within the office. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with our team, review contract documents and deliverables, and act as the key liaison between various stakeholders during the Construction Phase of Work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing construction administration functions for assigned projects on-site and within the office.
  • Collaborating within a team environment, primarily in construction administration, and reviewing the preparation of contract documents and deliverables.
  • Acting as the prime liaison between Construction Managers/General Contractors, Clients/Owners, and Architect/Engineering (A/E) teams during the Construction Phase of Work.
  • Attending and actively contributing to owner, architect, and contractor site meetings.
  • Facilitating meetings to resolve escalated site issues or shop drawing details.
  • Ensuring timely review and return of contractor shop drawings and Request for Information (RFIs).
  • Preparing and distributing Site Instructions, primarily utilizing Revit.
  • Conducting monthly site review visits to monitor the quality and design intent of contract documents, preparing General Review Reports, and distributing them to the team.
  • Performing occupancy reviews and project closeouts.
  • Preparing Change Notices, Change Orders, including the review and approval of contractor quotations.
  • Reviewing contractor monthly applications for progress payment and preparing Certificates of Payments.
  • Evaluating and certifying substantial completion.
  • Reviewing and processing closeout submittals.
  • Reporting regularly to the Manager of Construction Administration, outlining the general progress of projects, financials, scheduling, and more.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or a degree in Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Revit, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
  • 8+ years of architectural experience, including Construction Administration.
  • Knowledge of building codes and other regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, as you will be required to travel to offsite locations within the province and other parts of Canada.
