Our client is seeking an experienced Project Lead to join their Toronto office and take a senior role in the delivery of exceptional interior design and architecture projects. This position is ideal for a design driven professional with strong leadership capabilities, proven client management experience, and the ability to guide projects from concept through completion.
The Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project delivery, ensuring that the design vision is maintained while meeting technical, scheduling, and quality standards. This individual will act as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and collaborators, while also providing leadership and mentorship to internal team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through all phases, from concept development to completion
- Ensure design intent, quality, and studio standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and coordination to support timely and successful execution
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, and external collaborators
- Review and approve major project outputs prior to presentations or implementation
- Mentor and support designers across project phases, fostering professional growth and design excellence
- Represent the studio in external meetings and industry events, as appropriate
- Contribute to the internal culture through leadership, collaboration, and creative engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a recognized institution
- 10–15+ years of experience in architecture and/or interior design
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a leadership and client-facing capacity
- Strong knowledge of project management, client management, team leadership, and technical documentation
- Familiarity with OAA standards and OBC
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solution-oriented approach with a strong leadership presence and collaborative working style
