We’re seeking a Project Architect to lead complex healthcare projects from concept to completion, with the opportunity to grow into a leadership or principal role.
We’re a 75-person integrated design firm with four offices across Ontario. Our award-winning team is known for creative, technically excellent work in healthcare, academic, civic, residential, and commercial sectors, with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation.
You’ll report to firm Principals and take ownership of healthcare projects (excluding labs), leading internal teams and external consultants through all phases. Your role is both technical and client-facing, requiring a balance of design leadership, team mentorship, project delivery, and relationship management.
In this role, you’ll be respobsible for:
Leading the design and documentation of complex healthcare projects
Overseeing internal project teams and consultant coordination
Managing client relationships and participating in business development
Preparing work plans, project schedules, and budgets
Leading meetings, QA/QC, and construction administration
Supporting firm-wide sustainability goals and mentoring junior staff.
What we’re looking for:
Licensed Architect (OAA) or Intern Architect close to licensure
8+ years of experience, including significant healthcare project experience
Proven leadership on multi-disciplinary project teams
Expertise in all phases of healthcare design and delivery (acute care, ambulatory, etc.)
Strong Revit proficiency; experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and dRofus
Familiarity with Capital Planning submissions and Ministry of Health requirements
Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
LEED, EDAC, PMP, or Lean certifications are assets
Experience with P3 (Design-Build-Finance or DBFM) is a plus
