Lead Interior Designer – Hospitality

Viewed 0 times

Job Description

We create spaces people actually remember. The kind of restaurants, bars, and hospitality experiences that become part of the cultural fabric. With a growing portfolio across the GTA and beyond, including major national brands, we’re adding a Lead Designer who can bring bold vision, fresh energy, and concept-driven design thinking to our team.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the creative direction of projects from day one, working hand-in-hand with the Principal to develop concepts, source materials, craft presentations, and bring ideas to life for some of the most recognizable brands and restauranteurs.

If you’re the designer who walks into a space and immediately sees the lighting story, the finishes narrative, and the “Instagrammable moment,” we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the early-stage design concept for hospitality and experiential projects, collaborating closely with the Principal from the first spark of an idea.

  • Source finishes, materials, lighting, and FF&E that bring the concept to life.

  • Prepare and deliver high-impact client presentations. You’ll be in the room, leading the creative narrative with confidence.

  • Stay ahead of design trends and cultural shifts that shape hospitality experiences

  • Review drawings, ensure design intent is carried through coordination, and collaborate with technical and consultant teams (you won’t be producing drawings or renderings).

  • Contribute to an environment of creativity, exploration, and inspiration across the studio.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10–12 years of experience in hospitality design or exceptionally strong conceptual experience in residential, retail, or other design sectors.

  • A portfolio that clearly demonstrates concept development, material/finish sourcing, moodboards, and creative storytelling.

  • Strong presentation skills, confident, articulate, and client-ready.

  • Sharp understanding of how people experience space: lighting, texture, flow, and emotionally resonant design moments.

  • Ability to read, review, and coordinate drawings with technical and consultant teams.

  • Software: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office; Photoshop is a strong bonus.

  • Someone who is plugged into trends and culture, from immersive experiences to the little details that make a space iconic.

  • Warm, collaborative working style and genuine excitement for creating memorable hospitality environments.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: $100–120K, depending on experience
  • Generous Vacation policy

  • 100% employer-paid benefits plan

  • Studio Environment: In-office preferred for concept development, with hybrid flexibility and supportive working hours

  • Impact: Lead the creative vision for notable hospitality projects and help shape the future of the studio’s design identity

Send your resume and a portfolio that highlights your strongest conceptual and sourcing work. We’re reviewing applications immediately.
