Job Description

An international architecture and interior design studio is seeking a Design Manager / Project Designer to join its growing Toronto interiors team.

The studio is known for luxury hospitality, resort, food and beverage, and branded residential projects across global markets. This is an opportunity for a senior interiors professional to lead design driven projects while working closely with Design Directors, consultants, and internal teams.

The Role

The Design Manager / Project Designer will be responsible for leading one to two active projects, ensuring the work progresses according to schedule, budget, and design intent.

This role requires both strong design sensibility and project leadership. The successful candidate will guide the internal design team, coordinate project execution, and contribute to the creative direction of high-end hospitality interiors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead luxury hospitality interior projects from concept through completion
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, workflow, and coordination
  • Guide junior, intermediate, and senior designers through project execution
  • Maintain design intent across all phases of the project
  • Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Review drawings, documentation, details, and FF&E packages
  • Support client communication and project presentations
  • Work closely with Design Directors to advance the creative and technical direction of each project

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of interior design experience
  • Strong experience in hospitality interiors, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, or luxury F&B environments
  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage design teams
  • Strong design, technical, and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Experience with FF&E, documentation, and consultant coordination
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

Salary:  $100,000–$120,000, depending on experience
