As a Contract Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. You will oversee the contract administration process, conduct site reviews, and maintain effective communication among various stakeholders. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts and codes will contribute to the smooth progress of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide construction administration functions for assigned projects on-site and within the office.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, primarily in construction administration, and assist in the preparation of contract documents.
  • Facilitate trade/consultant breakout construction team meetings to resolve escalated site issues or shop drawing details.
  • Conduct site review visits to monitor the quality and design intent of contract documents, preparing field site visit reports and distributing them to the team.
  • Maintain RFIs, Shop Drawings, CCNs, CDs, SIs, COs, and submittal logs.
  • Ensure timely receipt and reply to contractor’s Request for Information (RFIs).
  • Review and facilitate the timely review and return of contractor shop drawings by the A/E team.
  • Prepare and issue change directives, change orders, and field review reports.
  • Review and make recommendations on contractor quotations for the owner’s approval.
  • Review contractor monthly applications for progress payment and prepare Certificates of Payments.
  • Review and process closeout submittals.
  • Carry out and prepare punch list reports at the time of the Contractor’s application for Substantial Performance.
  • Report regularly to the Manager of Construction Administration, outlining the status of the job, cost control, scheduling issues, and general progress.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a Contract Administrator role.
  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or Degree in Architecture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts and building codes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
