Job Description

Join a specialized building consulting, design, and brand identity firm as a Bilingual Architectural Designer. The firm is recognized for its work in automotive retail network design and customer experience, supporting some of the world’s most established automotive brands through the delivery of consistent, high-quality retail environments across Canada.

This role is ideal for an Architectural Designer or Architectural Technologist with 4–5 years of experience in commercial, retail, or other non-residential project work. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Quebec-based clients, ensuring clear communication, accurate interpretation of client requirements, and alignment between design intent and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare design drawings and documentation through concept and schematic design phases
  • Develop and maintain national specifications and design standards for automotive retail corporate image programs in both English and French
  • Review and comment on schematic design and construction documentation prepared by local architectural consultants to ensure alignment with client requirements and brand standards
  • Participate in client meetings in French and English, gathering project requirements and clearly communicating them to internal team members
  • Collaborate closely with internal design and production teams to support project delivery and maintain consistency across multiple programs
  • Assist in coordinating project information, consultant input, and design updates throughout the course of each assignment
  • Support projects during the construction phase, including responding to questions and monitoring progress as required
  • Prepare clear and organized summaries of design and technical submissions
  • Travel periodically to project sites in Quebec and other locations in Canada, as required

Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in Quebec French and English is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in architecture or design, preferably in retail, commercial, Institutional or industrial projects
  • Quebec-based experience is required, including candidates who have lived, studied, or worked in Quebec, or who have French immersion training with strong Quebec French communication skills
  • Proficiency in Revit is required
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead or actively participate in client meetings in French
  • Good understanding of design documentation and the ability to review consultant drawings for accuracy and alignment with client expectations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach

Additional information

  • Salary of $75,000–$80,000 + OT + Bonus + Benefits
  • Three weeks of vacation
  • Toronto based | Full-time in office work environment | Flex hours | TTC Accessible
  • Ocassional travel required, primarily within Quebec.
