We are seeking a versatile Architectural Designer or Architect to join our small but growing studio, a practice known for crafting contemporary, innovative, and thoughtfully detailed spaces. Most of our work is focused on custom residential and small multi-family residential projects, with select commercial commissions that keep the work varied and engaging. This is an opportunity to contribute to all aspects of design and delivery, in a collaborative environment that values creativity, technical knowledge, and initiative.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who is both technically strong and design-minded. You don’t need to be a “starchitect,” but you should bring a solid portfolio that demonstrates good design sensibility, along with the technical skills to see projects through zoning, permit, and construction.
We value team members who think critically, offer opinions confidently, and take initiative rather than waiting for direction.
What You’ll Do
Lead and support projects through all phases, from concept and planning approvals to technical documentation and construction.
Prepare zoning studies, permit sets, and construction documents with accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with the Principal and team to develop design solutions that balance creativity with buildability.
Communicate effectively with consultants, clients, and city officials.
Use your judgment and design eye to improve both the process and the final product
What We’re Looking For
6–10 years of architectural experience, ideally with at least 5 years in Ontario
Strong understanding of zoning bylaws, site plan approval, and permit processes.
Balanced skillset: technically solid, with a portfolio that demonstrates design sensibility.
Critical thinker who takes initiative and isn’t afraid to contribute ideas.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Why join us
Direct exposure to the Principal and mentorship in both design and business.
Opportunity to work on diverse, design-forward projects from concept to completion.
Commission on projects you bring in, plus bonus opportunities.
