As Healthcare Architect, you’ll play a key leadership role in the design and delivery of healthcare projects throughout Ontario. You’ll guide interdisciplinary teams through all project phases—from early concept and clinical programming to construction documentation. You’ll work closely with clients, hospital staff, consultants, and Ministry reps to bring patient-centered, technically sound designs to life.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading design strategy and clinical planning
Ensuring compliance with CSA Z8000 and Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care standards
Conducting cost-benefit and risk assessments
Navigating complex approval processes
Representing the team in high-stakes meetings and reviews
Mentoring junior and intermediate staff, sharing your deep healthcare knowledge

You’re a Great Fit If You Have…
8+ years of architectural experience, with a strong focus on healthcare
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
OAA registration (or eligibility)
A deep understanding of hospital design, clinical workflows, and healthcare planning
Hands-on experience with Ontario healthcare regulations, CSA Z8000, and Ministry processes
Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
The ability to lead complex teams and keep a project on track
Clear, confident communication—with clients, consultants, and colleagues alike
