We are seeking a Studio Design Manager to lead studio wide project execution and uphold the highest standards of design quality and operational performance. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered with consistency, clarity, and excellence from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide studio-wide oversight of project delivery, including contracts, scope, schedules, deliverables, and risk management

• Lead resource planning and staffing alignment across projects, including weekly planning, workload forecasting, and overtime and vacation oversight

• Manage project change control, including additional services, scope adjustments, hours estimates, and approvals in collaboration with finance

• Lead and support people development, including mentorship of senior design leads, performance reviews, promotion readiness, and performance management

• Participate in client kick-offs and key meetings as required, ensuring alignment on expectations and deliverables

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering large, complex design projects, with demonstrated leadership across multiple concurrent projects

• Strong sector experience in hospitality, food and beverage, retail, and multi-unit residential (experience with major hotel brands and developers considered an asset)

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD/XREF; working knowledge of Revit; Bluebeam Revu required; strong understanding of building codes and multi-disciplinary coordination

• NCIDQ, BCIN, and ARIDO membership preferred; LEED accreditation an asset
