We are seeking a Studio Design Manager to lead studio wide project execution and uphold the highest standards of design quality and operational performance. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered with consistency, clarity, and excellence from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide studio-wide oversight of project delivery, including contracts, scope, schedules, deliverables, and risk management

Lead resource planning and staffing alignment across projects, including weekly planning, workload forecasting, and overtime and vacation oversight

Manage project change control, including additional services, scope adjustments, hours estimates, and approvals in collaboration with finance

Lead and support people development, including mentorship of senior design leads, performance reviews, promotion readiness, and performance management

Participate in client kick-offs and key meetings as required, ensuring alignment on expectations and deliverables
Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience delivering large, complex design projects, with demonstrated leadership across multiple concurrent projects

Strong sector experience in hospitality, food and beverage, retail, and multi-unit residential (experience with major hotel brands and developers considered an asset)

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD/XREF; working knowledge of Revit; Bluebeam Revu required; strong understanding of building codes and multi-disciplinary coordination

NCIDQ, BCIN, and ARIDO membership preferred; LEED accreditation an asset
