We’re seeking a highly organized, client-focused Project Manager / Contract Administrator to help lead national retail and commercial developments across Canada. This is a key role managing multiple project streams, overseeing contract documentation, and serving as a trusted partner to clients and contractors throughout construction.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at keeping complex projects running smoothly, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Do
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously — from permit application to construction close-out — ensuring scope, schedule, and budget success
• Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and AHJs — communicating proactively to avoid surprises
• Lead and track bid processes, prepare bid documents and addenda, and support contractor selection
• Prepare, review, and administer all construction contract documentation:
— Change Notices/Directives/Orders
— Supplemental Instructions
— Certificates for Payment
— General Review reports
— Other required project documentation
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance and completeness
• Verify and support occupancy requirements and documentation for AHJ approval
• Conduct site visits and general reviews to ensure design intent and quality are maintained
• Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering growth and strong project delivery practices
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to continuously refine workflows and improve efficiency
What You Bring
• 10–15+ years of progressive project management / contract administration experience in retail or commercial architectural environments
• Comprehensive knowledge of provincial building codes and national permitting processes — including multi-jurisdictional projects
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a variety of personalities and drive alignment across stakeholders
• Advanced communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills — especially under fast timelines and shifting priorities
• High attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and a proactive approach to issue resolution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit required
• Familiarity with Part 3 contract administration software considered a strong asset
• Ability to travel to project sites and confidently represent the firm in all stages of project delivery
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for exceptional service — both internally and externally
If you’re energized by the pace and complexity of national retail development and want to play a visible role in project success, we’d love to hear from you.
