This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, licensed architect to step directly into the leadership of a profitable, niche architecture firm with a long-standing reputation in the hospitality industry. We’re looking for a Principal to take the reins of a highly focused studio known for its work in quick-service restaurant and hospitality interiors. This is a lean and healthy firm with deep client relationships and a strong project pipeline.

What You’ll Do

In your first 6–12 months, you’ll:

  • Take on day-to-day leadership of the team and projects

  • Meet all key clients and develop strong relationships

  • Learn the firm’s systems, workflow, and business operations

  • Work with the outgoing Principal to shape a 1–2 year growth plan

  • Begin reporting to investors on performance and milestones

Post-transition (typically after one year), you’ll take full ownership of:

  • Business development and client relationship management

  • Financial oversight and performance reporting

  • Team leadership, hiring, and mentorship

  • Marketing strategy and operational decision-making

  • Strategic planning in collaboration with the investor group

Who you are 

We’re seeking someone who brings both architectural expertise and business acumen. You’re likely in a mid-sized firm where the pathway to partnership is limited, and you’re ready for a role with real impact and autonomy.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Architect (OAA required)

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including leadership responsibilities

  • Strong grasp of project delivery, construction, and architectural design

  • Demonstrated ability to manage clients, finances, and internal teams

  • Experience in hospitality, restaurants, or quick-service design is a major asset
