As an Architectural Job Captain, you will lead documentation and coordination for branded retail and hospitality projects across Canada and internationally. You’ll translate design concepts into highly coordinated construction drawings that support brand consistency and rollout excellence, whether for flagship retail spaces, food & beverage venues, or experiential public environments.
You’ll collaborate closely with architects, program managers, clients, consultants, and contractors while helping shape informed decisions through each project phase.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead drawing production for retail and hospitality projects, ensuring accuracy and brand consistency
• Review and develop building details aligned with constructability and operational standards
• Ensure compliance with Canadian building + accessibility codes and landlord requirements
• Prepare submission packages and manage permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions
• Coordinate with signage, millwork, equipment, and specialty vendors typical to retail programs
• Support planning studies, test fits, occupancy reviews, and integrated design analysis
• Maintain alignment with QA/QC standards and brand delivery frameworks
• Prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
Qualifications
• Professional degree in Architecture
• 4–7 years of architectural experience, with strong experience in retail and/or hospitality project delivery
• Fluency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; Adobe Creative Suite required
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Smartsheet, SketchUp – an asset
• Thorough understanding of commercial building systems, accessibility requirements, and permit processes
• Proven success coordinating with landlords, consultants, and contractors in fast-paced retail environments
• Strong organizational skills and ability to drive technical excellence under evolving timelines

Compensation: $70,000 – $95,000 + Bonus
