We’re a creative, down-to-earth interior design studio specializing in hospitality and commercial interiors—and we’re looking for a hands-on, detail-loving Intermediate Interior Designer who’s ready to lead projects from concept to completion.
If you’re passionate about creating spaces that make people feel something, love collaborating with a talented team, and want to see your ideas come to life out in the world (not just on a screen), this might be the role for you.
About the Role
As an Intermediate Designer, you’ll lead your own projects with the support of the Design Director, technologists, and junior designers. You’ll be responsible for design direction, FF&E selection, presentations, and site involvement—right through to styling and installation. You’ll typically be juggling 2–4 projects at a time, with a mix of concept development, client interaction, and hands-on execution.
This is a great opportunity for a designer who loves hospitality and commercial design, is comfortable managing timelines and client communications, and enjoys seeing every detail through to the end.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate closely with the Design Director on concept development and design direction
Manage projects from early design through to final install
Lead client meetings and presentations
Source materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes to create cohesive FF&E packages
Create compelling presentations using SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, and AutoCAD
Attend site visits, installations, and styling days—you may even hang the art
Mentor junior designers and support their growth
Manage budgets and workback schedules
Maintain project timelines and keep things running smoothly
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and consultants
What we’re looking for
5+ years of interior design experience, preferably in hospitality and commercial projects
A keen eye for design, detail, and materiality
Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and accessibility standards
Comfortable working on multiple projects and managing timelines
Self-starter with excellent organization, communication, and follow-through
Hands-on approach—you like getting involved on-site and seeing things through
Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign
Bonus if you’re NCIDQ certified or on the path to certification—but it’s not a dealbreaker.
What You’ll Love About Working With Us
You’ll join a collaborative, tight-knit team that enjoys working together. Our studio culture is casual, creative, and refreshingly low-ego—it’s the kind of place where great ideas come from everyone, and no task is too small. The work is design-forward, hands-on, and full of variety, with projects that keep you creatively engaged from start to finish. We offer flexible work hours (our core hours are 9–5, but there’s room to adjust), plus 1–2 weeks of paid time off during a winter holiday shutdown. We also make time to celebrate—whether it’s the opening of a new restaurant or a fun studio social, we believe in enjoying the process together.
