Your Mission
As Design Director, you will be the driving force behind our pursuit of excellence, combining leadership, creativity, and fiscal accountability:
- Define and communicate a powerful design philosophy that aligns directly with our overarching company goals, fostering a progressive and innovative design culture.
- Lead and mentor a 12 person interior design team, guiding projects from initial market engagement through construction and final installation. You will personally ensure a consistent, high-quality look and feel in all firm designs.
- Take full responsibility for developing and implementing all internal design concepts, creative presentation strategies, and quality assurance measures.
- Act as a dedicated mentor to all levels of the design team, providing focused creative and budgetary direction to cultivate top talent.
- Oversee project profitability, managing budgets and timelines, and utilizing your experience in negotiating scope and fees for successful and profitable project completion.
- Maintain and expand key client relationships, while actively participating in business development to drive strategic growth.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant workplace/corporate interior design experience, with a substantial history in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience overseeing the entire project lifecycle from concept to post-occupancy, with demonstrated success as a Project Manager on corporate interiors.
- NCIDQ and BCIN – Large Buildings or Above. ARIDO Membership is a strong asset.
- Full competency in Contract Administration processes, known for rigorous attention to detail and accuracy in construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, client presentation, and relationship-building skills. A polished, persuasive communicator and productive delegator
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite.
