Job Description

You know what it takes to bring a well-designed building through construction. You catch issues early, work through complex site conditions, and keep clients, consultants, and contractors informed. This role suits someone who combines strong technical knowledge with sound judgment, clear communication, and a collaborative approach.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer construction contracts from construction start through project closeout.
  • Conduct site reviews, document progress and deficiencies, and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Lead or participate in construction meetings and prepare clear meeting minutes.
  • Review shop drawings, product data, and samples in coordination with the design and consultant teams.
  • Respond to RFIs and prepare supplemental instructions, proposed changes, and change documentation.
  • Review applications for payment and support payment certification.
  • Assess site conditions and work with project teams to resolve technical and coordination issues.
  • Monitor construction for general conformity with the contract documents and flag concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate deficiency reviews, closeout documentation, and warranty follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records and strong working relationships throughout construction.

What You Bring

  • A background in architecture, architectural technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience administering construction contracts for projects in Ontario.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building assemblies, detailing, and the Ontario Building Code.
  • Familiarity with CCDC contracts and construction administration procedures.
  • Experience with institutional, healthcare, or education projects would be an asset.
  • The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence communicating with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
  • Availability to travel to project sites as required.
