About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development & Project Launch Lead to join our Toronto team immediately. You will be the driving force behind the firm’s growth, leading the development of compelling proposals, RFQs, and RFPs tailored to specific clients and projects. Coordinating interdisciplinary teams, you’ll craft clear, persuasive narratives that showcase expertise, project approach, methodologies, and fee proposals. Once projects are secured, you will also serve as the project sponsor, guiding teams to ensure excellence and alignment.
Beyond proposals, you will manage the project portfolio, maintain our contact database, and support content marketing to boost visibility. This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposals & RFPs (60%): Lead the creation, editing, and submission of proposals, RFQs, and RFPs; coordinate interdisciplinary teams; develop persuasive project narratives; manage project sponsorship and alignment.
Portfolio & Marketing Collateral (25%): Maintain project portfolios, resumes, case studies, and marketing materials; create templates and tools to ensure brand consistency.
Contact Database & Lead Generation (10%): Build and manage a centralized client/partner database; monitor opportunities in public and private sectors; track analytics to refine strategy.
Social Media & Content Marketing (5%): Plan, create, and publish engaging content to showcase company culture, projects, and thought leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or related field (bonus for double major/marketing).
7+ years of experience creating RFQs, RFPs, and proposals; strong portfolio of successful submissions.
5+ years leading strategic and tactical execution of professional service proposals.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to produce compelling marketing content.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM platforms, and proposal tracking systems.
Understanding of public procurement processes and digital content strategies.
Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
