The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Senior Job Captain looking for a growth opportunity?  

If you have a passion for wood-frame residential projects and enjoy leading teams while solving challenges independently, we’d love to meet you. This role offers leadership responsibilities and a clear path to growth within a collaborative and organized team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the production and oversight of design and working drawings for low-rise stacked townhouses and wood-frame residential projects.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of 3-5 staff members, maintaining high standards and smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with consultants and team members, solving technical and design issues with minimal guidance.
  • Support Project Managers in client communications, project coordination, and team management.
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
  • Leverage your knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, zoning standards, and construction practices to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in an architectural firm, with a focus on low-rise, wood-frame construction (stacked townhouses, custom homes, detached houses).
  • Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code and residential construction practices.
  • Proven experience leading small teams and managing multiple projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT, with expertise in technical drawings and project documentation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
