In this key role, you will collaborate closely with our Principal on high-end residential design projects from concept to completion. Your responsibilities include creating comprehensive sets of working drawings, managing budgets, timelines, and schedules, and overseeing seamless project execution by collaborating with builders, trades, architects, and consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive sets of working drawings, including architectural and bespoke cabinetry millwork, luxury kitchen & bathroom designs, custom furniture designs, and electrical & lighting plans.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and schedules, maintaining client files throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with builders, trades, architects, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Attend regular site meetings to oversee progress and address any design or construction challenges.
  • Source and price materials & finishes, create schedules and specifications.
  • Oversee the execution of all custom components to ensure accuracy in design details during construction and in workrooms.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Interior Design. ARIDO/NCIDQ or working towards is advantageous.
  • Excellent AutoCAD proficiency, hand drafting, sketching, and rendering skills.
  • Experience in managing new construction and renovation projects.
  • Familiarity with design management software (e.g., Studio Designer Webware, Ivy).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a personable, thoughtful demeanor.
  • Own and drive a car.
