We’re seeking an experienced Architecture Project Lead to join our full-service design studio. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a talented internal design team and partner with some of Canada’s most successful homeowners and business leaders on extraordinary projects.
About the Role
In this position, you’ll have the chance to lead and inspire, working closely with the Principals and Director of Architecture to shape project narratives and design direction. From Schematic Design through to Construction Administration, you’ll manage workflow, oversee deliverables, and drive technical excellence across a range of multi-unit residential and luxury home projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Collaborate with Principals to establish project narratives and design direction.
- Project Oversight: Manage staff workflow, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.
- Drawing & Deliverables: Direct and review all project documentation across all phases.
- Consultant Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with consultants, maintaining proactive communication to meet deadlines.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Foster synergy with the Interior Design and Construction teams for seamless project delivery.
- Planning & Approvals: Oversee the planning and approval application process.
- Technical Expertise: Provide thorough technical oversight on projects, from building systems to construction methods.
- Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and high-quality design.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Architecture
- Registered Architect or commitment to licensure with OAA
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with expertise in mid- to high-rise residential and luxury homes
- Strong knowledge of OBC, building science, and construction methods
- Familiarity with Classical Architecture
- High proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Skilled in hand drawing and computer renderings
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
