We are looking for a seasoned Senior Technologist (Job Captain) to be part of our vibrant and expanding practice. This is your chance to contribute to the transformation of the retirement home and long-term care sector while advancing your career in a meaningful way.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the production and supervision of permit, tender, and IFC drawing sets.
  • Seamlessly coordinate and integrate drawings from consultants.
  • Perform detailed reviews of project specifications.
  • Conduct thorough building code reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors, and document essential meeting minutes.
  • Supervise a small team of interns and technologists, fostering productivity, meeting project deadlines, and maintaining quality control.
  • Offer insightful feedback on design concepts and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the schematic design team to enhance office standards and standard operating procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 10 years of experience in an Ontario architecture firm, specializing in construction documents, with a strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • M.Arch or  Architectural Technology education.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Ontario Building Code, building science, contracts, and construction methods.
  • Expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office suite.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to deliver information clearly and concisely.
  • A team player who respects peers’ time, takes initiative, assumes responsibility, and meets deadlines.
  • Experience in senior housing, long-term care, multi unit residential or institutional projects is a plus.
