With over 200 stores across Canada this well-known Fast Food (QSR) brand is in major growth mode. As a Retail Designer in our In house Design team you will be responsible for all interior design projects including but not limited to, the design of new store openings, remodels and all scale of store design renovations for our corporate as well as franchise stores.

Based on established brand standards the designer will be working on projects from pre-construction stages through to completion. In this role, you will create full permit submission set design/construction drawings.

Create detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and shop drawings, review the site survey to ensure jurisdictional and landlord requirements are incorporated into the design of the store and complete test fits and feasibility studies for potential locations.

Using your superb communication and coordination skills you will work with key internal and external stakeholders (including architecture firms) in the production of comprehensive design development packages. You will work with landlords, property managers and cities, municipalities in collecting site specific drawing information and correspondence.

You will use your advanced technical skills to develop and maintain a CAD drawings library, create presentation packages and coordinate with the construction team on budget considerations and value engineering as required. You will review and approve all submittals (including shop drawings) and perform pre-design, post-demo, and design walk-through site visits as required.

The ideal candidate for this role is a collaborative team player with about 3 years of experience, ideally in retail, restaurant, QSR, Fast food projects. Must be proficient in Auto CAD, Revit, photoshop and sketchup. Microsoft office, outlook. Advanced Beginner to Intermediate Revit Skills Required.

Valid drivers’ license and access to a vehicle are required for this role.
