We’re searching for an exceptional Senior Designer Technologist to bolster our Interior Design team. Our ideal candidate is someone who possesses an innate design sensibility and a knack for the intricate details of construction drawings. We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who can confidently manage and execute projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

  • Begin by gaining a deep understanding of project budgets, scopes, and schedules before diving in.
  • Utilize your Revit expertise to craft impeccable drawings and documents that align with client specifications, budget constraints, building codes, and project timelines.
  • Maintain the highest standards in our work, ensuring it aligns with industry norms, while also reviewing the work of your peers.
  • Be prepared to step into the spotlight when it’s time to present design solutions to clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Embrace technology to boost project efficiency.
  • Keep a vigilant eye out for potential risks throughout a project’s lifespan.
  • Be an active participant in client and consultant meetings, including on-site visits.
  • Take charge of project coordination, maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants throughout.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to elevate our project design, deliverables, workflows, and standards.
  • Offer guidance and support to colleagues as they prepare project deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • You hold a degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible roles within Architecture/ Interior Design firms, with a particular focus on the technical aspects of working drawings.
  • Revit isn’t just a tool to you; it’s an extension of your professional identity. Familiarity with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is a definite plus.
  • You possess a solid grasp of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws.
  • Your passion for learning drives you to stay updated on the latest design techniques, building systems, design trends, and developments to enhance both your technical skills and project quality.
