We are seeking an exceptional Senior Architect to play a transformative role in our practice. In this role, you will participate in conversations about the future of practice, lead projects, develop new business, and mentor our talented team as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage high-level projects across multiple sectors, including retail, hospitality, office, and residential work for commercial clients.
  • Participate in strategic discussions about the future of architectural practice.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to generate business opportunities.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
  • Provide thoughtful advice to clients and navigate project risks effectively.
  • Engage with industry conversations and keep abreast of current concerns and advancements.
  • Promote and implement improvements to existing processes.

Qualifications

  • Registered architect with 10-15 years of post-graduate experience.
  • High-level project execution experience in multiple sectors.
  • Deep industry contacts and knowledge of technical, regulatory, and political challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage projects through all phases of delivery.
  • Strong team management experience and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to discuss design effectively.
  • Graduate of an accredited professional program and member of the OAA or another Canadian jurisdiction.
